Job Overview

Virtual Scribe: A service which allows the patient-physician encounter to be recorded, the conversation to be heard by a qualified physician in India, post which the company’s physician will make notes of the conversation carefully capturing the details of the patient like his medical history, current illness symptoms, diagnosis made etc. and then prepare a chart note/summary which will then to be entered in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Position: Physician Partner, Virtual Scribe
Location: Airoli – Navi Mumbai

Overview:
The scribe would be responsible for managing US physician’s documentation on the electronic platform. The scribe would listen to the physician-patient interaction and is expected to summarize the same in the electronic health record. This summarized note should reflect patient’s problem and physician’s plan around the same. The chart note generated by the scribe would be used by the physician as a reference document.

Key Responsibilities:
Listen to the physician-patient interaction.
Comprehend the conversation
Categorize and summarize the physician and patient interaction under different fields like the history of present illness, review of systems, physical examination, plan details, etc.
Populate the summarized data in the electronic health record Generate the chart note

Prerequisites:
1 year of relevant/domain experience
Specific skills needed to perform – Good at comprehending American accent – In-depth medical knowledge – Knowledge of allopathic medications – Excellent communication skills (English – Verbal & written)

Typing Speed – more than 25 WPM – Microsoft word and excel knowledge (basic)
